OH HOW HE LOVE US 02/21/2010
Oh How He Loves Us! Isaiah 53:2-11 Nothing in this world has ever grieved God before, not ever, except man. Why? Because He loves man like nothing else. He was and is God, He has and can destroy His creation, He has done it before. But, “God so loved….He gave” The Lamb “of” God. We think people killed Jesus, but clearly we see He was God’s sacrifice that He be brought to the altar (v.10-11). Justice had to be satisfied. He is holy. Jesus told Pilate that He had no authority unless the father had given to Him. This was God, He raised and nurtured a spotless lamb to be His sacrificial offering to lay on the altar and be slaughtered for a propitiation for our sins/souls. Propitiation means: The appeasement of Divine wrath by a sacrificial offering. Sacrifice means: To kill or slaughter for a purpose. Jesus had a purpose and it was you. This word “of” (Lamb “of” God) means God h=gave himself to be slaughtered. The bible says, “No greater love hath a man than to lay down his life for his friends”. He is calling us friends because this is exactly what He did for us! Jesus’ righteousness by itself makes a fit companion and bride! Jesus gave us righteousness as a gift so the Father could enjoy his children. After all, He did create us for His pleasure, we did not create Him. Only God Himself could fulfill these requirements anyway. He created us to dwell with Him, for He has desired us. His desire is to give us His divine nature which is what He is and His love. (1 John 4:19) Blood is the only/sole penance for sin. When Jesus died He had legal rights to redeem us. He whom the Son sets free is free indeed. Tell the Devil, “Show me proof! Because I’ve got proof!” So you see, we cannot work for God’s love, or even work to love Him (1 John 4:10) we must know how He loves us first or we will never love Him (or others) rightly. You say how do I know? I just can’t receive it. Well that’s your choice. The word says is 1 Corinthians 14:1 to pursue love! That’s it. All we have to do is pursue God, for He is love (1 John 4:8). Romans 10:17 Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. The word is God (John 1:1) and God is love, faith comes out of love. Ask and you shall receive. We must have faith He is a Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. If we cry out to know Him, He will let us, He is ready. He’s been waiting for you. Read Revelation of love: 1 Corinthians 13:4-10,12-13 This is His love and this is what will happen to us when we realize it. Add Comment WHY THE FIRE 02/14/2010
Why The Fire
Revelation 3:14-22 In the letters to the seven churches it is mentioned “to him who overcomes”. This is the only letter in which Christ speaks “as I have overcame”. This is the last letter to the last church. Notice what Jesus said, “I advise thee to buy of Me gold refined in the fire.” He shares with them the reasons for their condition and He rebukes those whom He loves. If we will overcome the lukewarmness in our hearts then He will grant us to sit with Him in His Father’s throne. Romans 12:1-3 We’re to think soberly. What is that? It means don’t become fools in taking your salvation for granted. Our mindsets need to be changed about almost everything that we have learned. We need to know what it really means to lay down your will and obey God’s will instead. It is the fire of God that purges us of the old leaven. When we ask for the fire it will come to burn out every work and thought that is not of God. Church, we need this. Think about it, can your life be better? Is there room for improvement? Of course there is. 2 Timothy 2:19-21 There are things in us all that need to change. Iniquity dishonors our vessels. The fire will burn it away. Jesus said buy of me gold tried in the fire. Luke 3:15-17 Do you have an expectation in your hearts that there must be more? Are you ready to be cleansed in your mind of all the wrong thinking that we have expected? For our Lord to reap a harvest in us He first must burn away the chaff. I’m talking to people who want to change. They want real joy and real freedom. It will take the baptism of fire. It is not enough to just believe. We need purging of our minds. Mark 9:49-50 The fire purifies and the salt preserves. As we sacrifice our wills to obey His this is bringing salt to our lives and salt will save. 1 Corinthians 3:11-15 We don’t have to wait for the fire. In the end the fire will burn up everything that is not spiritual. The revelation here is that it can destroy all the lusts of our flesh now. We don’t have to wait until the judgment. Freedom is through the fire of God. Hebrews 12:29 Our God is and all consuming fire. This tells me that when we pray for the fire trouble will start, but freedom is coming. This is the gold tried by fire. 2 Peter 3:11-13 Fire will burn up all the other heavens. Could it be possible that the first heaven in which we live could burn before the coming of the Lord? Yes it is possible if we could grasp a hold of His word concerning His fire. What did He come to baptize his people with? Fire. Luke 12:49-50 What shall it be if He would come and find the earth on fire already? This is speaking of a spiritual fire. V50 tells us that He was distressed until it was accomplished. Our love for Him could be so great if everyone would overcome with the fire of God. Think about every believer being hot for Jesus, what would happen? The fire would spread quickly, revival would break out, and a new generation would be born. Will you come for a new fire from God? A REVELATION OF HIS LOVE - GOD 02/11/2010

What Are You Thinking
1 Peter 2:11 The lust of our flesh is waging war against our souls. Your mind is the battlefield and your mind is part of your flesh. Our minds are our biggest enemy. As a man thinks in his heart so is he is what the bible says. John 8:43-44 Satan in the father of lies and when we are listening to those lies we are not able to hear God speak. 1 Corinthians 14:33 Satan is the author of confusion. Vaughn said today the war has begun over our minds. If you believe in God then Satan has placed a big red dot on your back. You have become a target. The shield of faith and the sword of the spirit will defeat him. Creflo Dollar said if Satan can gain control of our thought life, then he will be in control of our minds, our lives, and our faith. He means to rob us of our faith in God. 1 Peter 4:1-2 With the mindset of God Christ was able to withstand the enemy until the end. We also can do this because He obeyed God. We ourselves can’t do it but He can through us. James 4:6-10 When we dwell in the place of darkness too long we need to repent and return unto the Lord for healing. 2 Peter 1:19-21 The scriptures are for everyone. Not just for a select few. The prophecy of our Lord is sure, it can be trusted. When we are all together there is more light in the darkness. Imagine candles burning and one goes out, it will be easy to relight the one that is out with the burning ones. But if it is alone then there is none to relight it. When we’re out of fellowship there is no telling what your mind is telling you. It is all in the mind, the things that we hear against us. This is the war that is raging inside of us. Look in the word and seek to find the lies that are being told to you. You can’t because there is too much word that is for you. In revelations it tells us that we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. Your Father will not tell you bad things, it is the liar that speaks. We must believe in God and that He is who He said He is! Hebrews 12:1-3 We need to learn what the weights are in our lives. What is it that grabs a hold of you suddenly? What or who can turn your good day into a bad day? What habit or attitude is destroying your progress in the Lord? What or who is controlling you? If it isn’t God then it must be a weight. In Romans it tells us that nothing can separate us from God. Satan is a liar. His power over you is false and deceptive. He is the deceiver. He is powerless without you. You are the common denominator for your own destruction. He comes to dwell in our minds. He needs your permission and agreement first to have any power over you. Isaiah 40:28-31 God lives in you, He did not create you to fail. When you feel weary remember that is not in God and in Him He will increase your strength. In Him you will run and not faint. In Him He will help you to finish your race. Romans 8:31-39 These scriptures say it all, Our God has given His most precious gift, His Son, and He gave Himself. Why would He not give us all things? The devil is a liar. He wants to conquer you. He wants to control you and then destroy you. This will all take place in your mind first. Why are we entertaining the devil? 1 John 3:19-21 Our Father will let us know if there is something wrong in us. If He is sending you a message do you not believe He is able to deliver it with clarity? If you don’t know what is going on then it probably is not God. Satan comes to condemn. Jesus brings conviction through the Holy Spirit, which will then bring repentance because of the truth that lives in you. Your heart will condemn you mess up in God. Ephesians 3:14-21 Pray this prayer often. WHAT DO YOU SEE? "GOD" 02/09/2010
What Do You See? “God”
As I was riding home one day, no music playing, not really thinking of anything, it came to me to ask this posing question: Many of us want so much to ask, but are afraid of His answer or that there will be no answer. So I looked up to the clouds and I said, God, what do You see when You look at me?” He immediately said, “I see Me!” I began to weep very hard and I said, “How do You see You? How is that possible?” He brought to my remembrance this scripture: 2 Corinthians 3:18 – But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. He said, “I see Me when I look at you.” When our faces are looking at His face how could we be anything but beautiful to Him if it is like looking into a mirror? This is why the Shulamite says, concerning her condition when around her beloved, “I am dark, but lovely.” – Song of Solomon 1:5. Who can say anything about God? No one at all ever! So, then I ask, who can say anything about us if we are a mirror to Him? WHAT FIELD ARE YOU IN? PART 2 02/07/2010
What Field Are You In? Part 2
Last Sunday we learned that Elimelech and Naomi suffered greatly at their own hand by following their own desires. They journeyed to another field outside of God’s. They lost their sons, their inheritance, and Naomi lost Elimelech. Now she was left alone with two daughters-in-law and no husband, no land, and no inheritance. So she decides to journey back home. It was the place of peace and provision from God. She stops on the way and releases the girls to go back home and she blessed them. But Ruth decides to follow Naomi, she was being led by God to a place where she could receive what she had seen and heard living with Naomi. There had been ten years between Elimelech and the death of her two sons. God will lead us to a place where we can finally hear and see who He is. What field are you in? Did you go to another place outside of God? Psalms 37:23 The Lord is ordering the steps of the righteous. You’re saying “well I don’t feel so righteous”. If you are in His field then you are of the righteous. Yes there will be suffering, God is still in control. Ephesians 1:4-5 Our Lord knew you and me before we were born. He is still in control good or bad. When Elimelech went out from God, he took mattrers into his own hands. Here is where the real trouble started for him. Now Naomi made the right decision when she decided to come home. It is only when we turn around that we give up our control and let Him lead us again. The bible clearly tells us that we must overcome every obstacle in our path. Ruth 3:1-5 Naomi herself had the right to claim Boaz as her own. But she was willing to abandon her claim in favor of Ruth. She was also sending a message to Boaz that she was waiving her rights over to Ruth instead. This story shows sacrifice on every side. First Naomi demonstrates preferring others over herself. It doesn’t say this but God was in control, He was inspiring Naomi to do the things that she was doing. Naomi was still in a place of uncertainty. She had hopes of restoration to overcome. Can you see in the scriptures how God was using her in His plan? Maybe in Naomi’s eyes she was giving Boaz Ruth as an act of humility, feeling that she didn’t really have any rights. This was her plan. Ruth 3:6-18 Ruth’s spirit of obedience is what is needed for us to receive all of the benefits of the Lord’s redemptive work. Because Naomi and Ruth were both in the right place they were able to see and hear what God was saying. God was unable to use Naomi without the obedience of Ruth. Washing herself is an example of us when we come home to the right field. We will go through a period of mourning and cleansing before we can see clearly. After we see we can go and ask Him what shall we do. Lord what is your direction for me now? Philippians 4:6 We need to make our request known unto the Lord, then we must wait. Naomi told Ruth to sit still until they would know how the matter would fall. This is the hardest thing to do. This requires us to have understanding of the Lord’s ability to accomplish the task. There is nothing that we could do to help, just wait. 1 Peter 1:6-7 Make your request known, then wait and endure the trials that the Lord has placed before you. He is in control. If you are in the right place God is ordering your steps. Nothing is by chance. It is all ordained. Here is two women about to receive rewards. One is for returning back to her rightful place, then being forgiven and restored back as an heir. The other has never been an heir but will receive an invitation of grace to never have to worry or work again as an heir. Ruth 4:1-8 First Boaz had to go to the elders to petition on the behalf of Ruth. Jesus is petitioning for you today, He is pleading your case before His Father daily. Chapter 4 is the victory of both of these women. Both women representing so much for you and me. In v.6 it says I cannot redeem it. This represents the law. The law could not save us. We cannot redeem anything that we lost. Only Jesus can do this. He will restore all that the enemy has stolen from you. If you are in debt, He’s the way out. If you are sick, He is the healer. If your marriage is bad, He is the restorer. If you are in sin, He is the deliverer. Boaz was the answer to both of these women. But most of all this was God’s plan. When Elimelech messed up God saw a way to fulfill His plan. Naomi could not have fixed her problem. God had a plan, He saw ahead where she could not see. Her returning home and receiving instruction led her to restoration. God was leading her every step, He just needed her in the right place. If she had stayed in Moab she would have missed her redemption and God’s plan would not have been fulfilled in Ruth. We can alter the plan that God has for us if we stay in the wrong field too long it could bring death to our inheritance. Ruth 4:9-17 God’s plan for your life will come to pass if you will come back or enter into the right place with Him. His ways are always the right way. We may not understand but trying to fix our problems will only result in larger ones. Surrendering to His will and learning to rest in Him will accomplish much. In the story of Ruth God is joining the Jew and gentile together as one just as we are one in Christ. A much bigger picture, God has a much bigger plan for your life. How long will you stay in the wrong field? God will use a different route to complete His plan. Now is the time to come home. REVELATION OF HIS LOVE FOR US 02/01/2010
Revelation of His Love For Us
We were singing wrap me in your arms by Eddie James, and I was singing like many times before. I said, “God I know it seems selfish to ask You to hold me, but I want You to hold me.” He said, “This is what I long to do. Don’t you know that you are the object of My desire and My delight? This is why I sent Jesus to die, because I longed to be close to you again.” He started showing me that that we think because we haven’t done the things we think we’re supposed to do in order to be in His presence, that He is repulsed by us. He said this is quite the contrary. Why would I send Jesus if you could do it? He sent us Jesus because He knew we couldn’t do it. But we push Him away thinking He is repulsed by us when we’ve done something wrong or neglected to spend time with Him. Then He took me back to the first time I felt His arms around me, like a cold, hard stone no one would want to touch, hold, or hug, and H said to me, “and I still took you in my arms and held you close.” I began to weep uncontrollably. He said “it is My Desire and My Delight to warm you up, to hold you, to take out the heart of stone and put in a heart of flesh. This is why I sent Jesus because while you were yet sinners I loved you! I am not repulsed by you. I love you.” So then I shared all of this with our prayer group and when I finished He said, “You don’t have to seek for hours and days, I am so ready and want to be known that all you have to do is ask and I will come in.” He is so ready to be known, He so wants to be known! 1 John 4:10 I felt bad for not loving God enough. 1 John 4:19 We cannot work for His love or even to love Him unless we know of His love for us first. The word says in 1 Corinthians 14:1 to pursue love, this means to pursue God, because God is love and when we begin to fall in love we will be able to love Him and others. |
