Seek Him Matthew 6:33

The Lord told us to seek the kingdom first then his righteousness. Your father in heaven knows every need and desire that you have. He has placed desires in your heart. The problem is that most of our desires do not come from God. They come from man. So what is the church seeking? What are you seeking? The first thing he told us to seek is the kingdom which is your salvation. The second thing is his righteousness which is our transformation (phil 2:12 tells us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling)

Most of us receive the first part of Matt6:33 and we skip over the righteousness part. How many of us can say that we have arrived and that you walk in the righteousness of God?  Most of the world and, sad to say, the church walks according to their flesh. They went straight to what the gentiles seek.

Galatians 5:16

We are to live and walk according to the spirit of God so that we will not fulfill the lusts of our flesh. When you come to service come expecting, come seeking God’s face instead of his hand. Jesus gave us the order in which to come.

Psalm 100

We get the attention of our God through our worship and our total dependency on Him. We enter in with thanksgiving and with our praise We are to seek the kingdom of God first then his righteousness. These bring us into the realm of the spirit. How can we live in the spiritual realm when we are constantly seeking after the physical first.

John 18:36

Tells us that the kingdom of God is not of this world.

Romans 14:17

Tells us what the kingdom of God is. Only the spirit of God can reveal the kingdom to you. So you need to seek it through the spirit of God.

Luke 17:20-21

Tells us it is not through observation. It is in you, so since you cannot see it and no one can give it to you, then you have to seek after it. We need his righteousness, his peace and his joy. These are the greatest reasons to come into his presence seeking his face for your life.

Matthew 12:25

A kingdom divided will not stand. If you are torn and divided in your heart between the kingdoms of this world and the kingdom of God then you will not stand. You know whether you are hot or cold. Now is the time to choose this day who you will serve. The only way to be delivered from strongholds of this world is through his righteousness. Most of us only come for the knowing, not to be changed. Remember Lot’s wife.

2 Corinthians 4:15-18

If your inward man is not changing because there is no seeking his face, then remember the rest of this scripture, your outward man is perishing. We are as a vapor to God, here today and gone tomorrow. It is necessary to walk forward because all things are for your sake. We walk by his spirit not by our sight.

Matthew 5:6

Jesus said, those who hunger and thirst after righteousness are blessed and they will be filled. What are you hungering for? What is your appetite for? What or who is pulling you away from God? It’s time to seek him like never before.

Why Doesn’t It Fit?

Isaiah 28:20, 22

If the covers don’t fit and the bed is too small does it mean that you are in the wrong place or that you are in the wrong time frame? No, it doesn’t You are not just going through the motions of living with out making headway. There is progress being made.

A farmer realizes that he is not just going through the activity of sowing with out a harvest. He does his part and he also knows that there are other elements which are at work that will bring forth a harvest. These elements come from your Father. His elements are fighting with the elements that are out of your control. He is delivering your soul and as he does you will fit less and less in this world. When the Father is finished your bed will fit complete with covers.

V 22 – We don’t need to frustrate with what we cannot see. You ask why did God put me into a bed that did not fit? You say this is not where I belong. Be careful church not to mock God.

Galatians 6:7

Be not deceived, God is not mocked. The law of sowing and reaping is at work. You may feel like you don’t fit (But God!) He is your creator and he has a plan that is working in you and you might not be able to see it. All you know is that you don’t seem to fit and that confusion is all around.

Isaiah 28:13

Everything is working together to fulfill His plan. At times in your life it might not seem so. It is a process to grow and to mature. We must walk through many things. At the same point in time you will find yourself fitting into the kingdom.

2 Corinthians 4:7-8

If our bed is too shirt and our covers will not fit then God knows it. He has allowed it for a time. Though the troubles we hold are not from here. This was not his home, He did not fit here and neither do we.

2Corinthains 5:2-4

The spirit of God has covered our nakedness. The world here only reveals it. Our groanings are not for here on earth, we groan because this is not our home. Umless you surrender to this world, you will not fit here.

Matthew 11:28-30

Even though your bed does not fit Jesus said come, I will give you rest. It is hard to rest on a bed that doesn’t fit wit covers that never cover. He is the only way for you to rest in a place that you don’t fit in.

Philippians 4:9-13

In this world God is on our side, we are not alone. The peace of God rules our hearts in a way that brings contentment in any situation that we will face. So even if your bed doesn’t fit you can still do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

Hebrews 4:9-10

Those who have ceased from their works will find rest. Don’t try to fix what God has allowed. Some things cannot be fixed here. It may be because you simply do not belong here. The more your soul is delivered the more awkward you will become. If your soul continues to yearn for the things here your heart will harden with unbelief.

Hebrews 3:7-11

When we don’t seem to fit, it could be like a wilderness, a place you’ve been before or maybe it’s a place you really don’t like. And you think, this can’t be God. And maybe you feel like there’s been a huge mistake in your life and this isn’t how it was supposed to be. Remember the word, if we hold onto the beginning, confident, steadfast until the end. Satan is the thing that does not fit, he is the outside element working against God’s seed. There is no room for his ways or his lies. And yes you will constantly be reminded that you don’t fit and hopefully you never will.

Titus 2:11-15

The grace of God is teaching us to be a peculiar people but not despised, just different, because we don’t fit. You know when someone fits or not. There are two crowds, which one are you comfortable in? Which one fits?
